HopeBuilders Sri Lanka - Spirit Missions

HopeBuilders have recently established a partnership with an organisation called ‘Spirit Missions’ who are based in the lovely island of Sri Lanka. HopeBuilders in partnership with Spirit Missions are committed to provide a home where orphans, particularly those that do not have any siblings, will be treated as individuals. The home will value these children more than just another mouth to be fed, but rather as individuals who have hopes and dreams like all of us. In order to enable these wonderful individuals to reach their full potential and to achieve their hopes and dreams, we are building a three storied home with all the facilities that will enable them to achieve their best.

The ground floor consists of a lounge room, office, staff room, dining, kitchen, store room, laundry, bath room and toilets. The first floor consists of 13 large bedrooms (to accommodate four children per room), a lounge room, bath rooms and toilets. The second floor consist of a library, computer room and study hall. There is also plenty of open space for children to play and have lots of fun. We also plan to grow our own vegetables, fruit trees and also have some farm animals & pets. This will help the children to be responsible and encourage them to be self- sufficient .

This project is a much needed one - one that will bring hope to many displaced orphans that have resulted from the recent civil unrest and tsunami. You are an important part of this project that will help break the cycle of poverty in this island.
