QATAR AIRWAYS FLYING FROM PERTH

Qatar is a five star airline that is based in Doha, Qatar (in the Middle East) . They were recently awarded the Skytrax 2011 Airline of the Year award.

The flights from Perth will commence on 3 July and depart three times a week on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays.

NEW SECOND INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT FOR ISRAEL

The Israeli government has approved the construction of a second international airport at Timna in the south of the country near the resort town of Eilat. The airport is due to open in 2014. It will be named Ramon International Airport after Israel's first astronaut who was killed in the 2003 Colombia space shuttle disaster.

SENIORS FARES IN BUSINESS CLASS WITH EMIRATES

There are some advantages in getting older! Emirates are offering travellers aged 60 years and over fares to Europe in Business Class from $6990 from Melbourne/Sydney/Brisbane and $6490 from Perth. Taxes are not included but are approximately $200.00. The fare must be purchased before 31 March 2012 for travel departing before 30 June 2012.
